Miss Universe QLD Finalist Interview - Samantha Robinson

Well, Autumn is in full swing, and It’s also that time of year when the search to find Miss Universe Australia is well underway with state finalists being announced across the country.

So we thought it would be a perfect time to kick off some home state interviews with Samantha Robinson.
Congratulations on making it through to the state finals, why don’t you tell us about yourself?

Thank you, I am so excited to be here! I am 24 years old, and I am currently employed as a junior lawyer. I was admitted into the profession in October last year, and I’m filled with so much gratitude to be able to follow my passion. In regards to my hobbies, I love living a healthy and active lifestyle, and I absolutely adore the beach, so I tend to spend the majority of my free time at the coast with my girlfriends!

We all have motivations, Mine usually revolves around coffee but what was your key motivation for entering the MUA competition?

My key motivation would be my personal development. I am constantly on the lookout for opportunities that are outside of my comfort zone, and that can assist me to become a better version of myself. I thought this would be an incredible platform to utilise to focus on improving my self-confidence and public speaking.

What part of the Miss Universe Australia program are you most looking forward to?

Aside from self-improvement, I am filled with so much excitement to meet and work closely alongside incredible like-minded inspirational women. I am equally looking forward to working with some amazing charities that are close to my heart.

We are all unique so what would you say is something that makes you stand out from the other contestants?

I think my motivation and drive makes me stand out from other contestants. Like everything in my life, I plan to bring 110% of effort into the competition!

With the state finals, less than a fortnight away, has your routine changed at all?

My lifestyle is usually super active and healthy, however, I have been working closely with my nutritionist to ensure I’m only fuelling my body with wholesome, nutrient rich foods. I have also jumped on the f45 bandwagon and I am absolutely loving it! My bestie has also been assisting me to prepare for the question and answer segment.

What is something that you hope to bring out of the Miss Universe Australia pageant?

I hope to come out of this pageant the best version of myself possible!

We will wrap up with a few irrelevant and random questions, now that my coffee has worn off.
Name five things you can’t live without?

To be different I am not going to list materialistic items, so:
1. Positivity;
2. A healthy and active lifestyle;
3. Surrounding myself with caring and inspirational people (my family and friends);
4. Goals and something to constantly be aspiring towards; and
5. Leading a life filled with copious amounts of love.

How long does it take you to scroll through Facebook before giving up?

I actually don’t really have time for Facebook scrolling! I only open the app when one of my girlfriends tags me in a funny meme 🙂

How would your closest friend describe you?

My closest friend constantly tells me I’m the most loyal and hard working person they know!

When You Dance, You look like?

Extremely graceful, as I used to be a ballerina!

Finally, and this one is important, so please pay attention… What do you think pets dream about?

Haha! I think they have dreams filled with eating excessive amounts of food!
