Angus & Julia Stone unveil video for new single CHATEAU

CHATEAU, as premiered on Billboard. The narrative is played out by leading Australian actors Courtney Eaton, who starred most recently in Mad Max Fury Road, and Dacre Montgomery, who featured in Power Rangers and is the new lead in Stranger Things season 2. Set in the magical surrounds of Mexico City, the two young rebels embark on a surreal and colourful adventure, stealing Angus and Julia’s car, crashing a decadent wedding gathering and leading guests to an underground disco! The young pair fall madly in love in the process, against the stunning backdrop and hypnotic vibes of CHATEAU. CHATEAU is a song of pure contentment in time and place and follows on from first single SNOW, which received extensive airplay on triple j, Double J, ABC Local Radio and national community radio, SNOW the album, released on September 15, features 12 glorious tracks penned by Angus and Julia together. It’s the next chapter in an immensely successful career, accounting for over half a million album sales in Australia alone. The Sydney-born siblings produced and largely engineered it themselves, in Angus’s cottage studio, Belafonté, in the Byron Bay hinterland. “It was quite magical because Angus and I have never spent that much time together, just the two of us,” says Julia. “There’s always at least an engineer or tour manager but the last phase of writing and recording was just eight weeks of him and me and the quiet of the land. It was a beautiful time.” Julia says, “We have very different styles of writing but they seem to work together. In a way, it’s the differences that make it sound the way it does.” Since the duo began performing together in 2006, their three albums have amassed multi-platinum sales, whilst new single Snow hit #1 most played on triple j, has accrued half a million video streams and more than three and a half million audio streams. Angus and Julia are set to play some of their biggest shows to date in the UK, Europe and North America – access all dates HERE – and their Australian tour is a total sell-out! They have just been announced on the Falls Festival bill and will tour New Zealand in December – see below for dates.]]>
