With the year heading to a close, we packed our bags and headed for the border to the pop-up city of art craft and of course music, Falls Festival Byron Bay.
We set up camp and went in search of the famously relaxed environment, and unique things that only Falls has to offer.
Walking through the Village, we were excited to see what experiences would be presented to us over the next few days with morning yoga sessions, dance classes and circus workshops, followed up with puppetry, burlesque and comedy we surely weren’t disappointed.
But this was a side not to the real reason thousands of revelers make the journey from far and wide to this unique festival, That is, of course, the music. With acts including Bloc Party, The Foals, Disclosure, Courtney Barnett, Meg Mac, Peking Duk, The Wombats and RUFUS just to name a few of who we were excited to see from the lineup of over 50 acts.
Sets ran into the long summer nights with breaks only taken to hydrate and take a dip in the Palm Springs water park exclusive to Falls Byron.
We rang in the new year with our friends The Wombats on the Valley stage in the site’s natural amphitheater.
The overall festival experience is one that you will sure look back on fondly thinking of those summers spent dancing, smiling and meeting new people
Add this to your festival bucket list Falls – Byron Bay is a must in Summer just as Splendour in the Grass is in the winter schedule.
