Girls Make Your Call Women’s Pro Kicks off 2017 Australian Open of Surfing

The 2017 Australian Open of Surfing is off and running at Manly Beach with Round 1 of the Girls Make Your Call Women’s Pro in the water.

Both the Men’s and Women’s events are the second WSL Qualifying Series (QS) 6000 events of the season meaning they have attracted an international field with some of the sports biggest names.

The WSL is stoked to be back at Manly, a place with a rich surfing history and home to some of competitive surfing’s most iconic events. WSL Austalia / Oceania Regional Manager Will Hayden-Smith is excited to be back at the Australian Open of Surfing in Manly

“We had a great finish in Newcastle yesterday and are pumped to be back up and running again at Manly,” Hayden-Smith said. “We have some punchy and fun waves on offer and we plan to run through two rounds of the women’s event and and a few heats of the men’s.”
