Local makeup brand Kylies Professional has once again shown its support for South-east Queensland’s up and coming models, by supporting the 2015 Katz Management Ultimate Look Competition.
Makeup artist and brand owner Kylie Eustace has a passion for promoting healthy makeup and also giving back to the industry by her support of this kind of events, providing makeup products and services.
The Ultimate look competition celebrated its 13th year propelling entrants into the industry with previous winners and participants landing both national and international modeling contracts in places such as New York, Milan, London and Korea just to name a few.
Kylie’s Professional have stepped up and looked after all the makeup related areas of this year’s competition including pre-event services with our makeovers for contestants, makeup and artists for all heats and the finals and some prizes for the contestants.
Kylie uses only her range of natural, healthy makeup products and is especially proud of her Mineral Goddess makeup being so beneficial for the young models who often have sensitive skin.
The makeup is free from any harsh chemicals or ingredients known to cause irritation. The product features intensely concentrated pigments allowing for sheerer coverage and the skin to breathe.
On finals day, Kylie’s makeup and hair team consisted of eight Artists, including three exceptional makeup students chosen from beauty schools. Behind the scenes is always a great time and especially when working on new models, full of excitement. Kylie’s team did up 16 models as well as the three previous Ultimate look finalists who opened the show!
This year Kylie was also asked to be on the Judging panel. This proved to be much harder than it looks as the models all had their different strong points. For instance: beauty/face models, promo, commercial, video, sports or runway models all need different strengths. For the Katz ultimate look winner, an all-round model is what was needed. The competition was so tight this year that an extra runner-up had chosen. The eventual winner, Anni De Pontes and the three runners-up, will all feature in a to be released Ultimate Look special featuring in our publication next year.
