Surfers Paradise is undergoing a transformation and its latest addition is Charming Charismatic and overflowing with style, The Island is officially open for business and is celebrating this weekend with a festival perfect for the entire family on the 10th – 11th of June.
The hotel has changed hands back in 2015, and has been under construction for the past year transforming into a spectacular dining, accommodation and entertainment hub in the centre of Surfers Paradise.
The designers have captured the essence of Surfers Paradise history while bringing that new vibe we are feeling across the city into the hotel’s refurbishment.
The Island spokesperson, Danielle Barber says the Island sets a new standard of accommodation and entertainment in Surfers Paradise with a unique look and fun twists on the classic Gold Coast holiday.
” The Islander has been reborn as The Island and the transformation is one to be seen to be believed. We have carried nostalgic Surfers Paradise and mixed it with beautiful modern details to create a unique boutique hotel.
When you visit The Island, guests will be transported to a simpler time where they can truly switch off and relax’.
The Island is more than a boutique hotel – it is an entertainment destination with bars, restaurants, a plush gaming room, kid’s playroom and the only rooftop bar in Surfers Paradise offering both beach and city views.
“The Island’s opening festival will include two days of family entertainment, roving entertainers, hotel tours, and even a petting zoo!
“There are so many locals of every age who have memories of the old property, we wanted to take the opportunity to invite them to experience the new precinct and see The Island for themselves, ” Ms Barber says.
Staying true to the flair of the hotel, staff will be offering guided room tours with a difference, where guests can be one of the first to view the newly refurbished rooms along with entertainment that will be sure to excite the whole family.
” We have designed it to be an immersive experience, visitors who take part in the tour will be greeted by performance artists who will give them a glimpse into what staying at The Island will be like, “
