It's time Gold Coast exactly 365 Days to Go !!

Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games is getting closer by the day and ready to showcase our city to the entire world.

Well, it is not long until the world sets it eyes to the Gold Coast for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Today marks exactly 365 days to go until the Queens Baton arrives and the Opening Ceremony gets underway.

Tonight the city is set to gather on the iconic Surfers Paradise Beach to mark this special milestone with a performance from local favourites Sunset City and ARIA Chat toppers Sheppard.
There will also be many family-friendly activities a stunning light show and a special appearance from our friend Borobi and the Mascoteers

With a year to go, preparations across this beautiful city are coming together nicely, like the perfect combination, of surf and sand.

Volunteer applications have just closed with 15,000 volunteers needed; the response was sensational with 10,000 applications received within the first 24 hours, these amazing individuals will be the lifeblood and personality of our games.

The sporting landscape is set to be forever changed on the Coast with the completion of every facility, bringing a new found level of enthusiasm and confidence to the city. All facilities are nearing completion on time and budget and will be ready in plenty of time for the games.

Our games will deliver an action-packed program of 18 sports including the first ever presentation of Beach Volleyball at a Commonwealth Games, and the longest integrated Para Sports program ever and will also debut Women’s Rugby along with the Para-Triathlon.

It is Day 23 of The Queens Baton Relay, Which is currently on its 70 nation and territory tour before delivering the Queens Message to us all on the coast in April 2018 at the Opening Ceremony.
The search is on for Baton bearers to “Share the Dream” by carrying the baton across this great country of ours; we The search is on for everyday Australias across all States and Territories so nominate someone today.

We are excited, so get ready to get your tickets with Ticket requests opening on April 24 with pricing for children starting at only $10 and Adults at $20 with more than 55% of all tickets below $40 – Amazing affordable for all families.
